The past months have been loaded with celebration. Naturally, what comes in tow with the festivities are the grand feasts. Meaning, non-stop eating which more often than not lead to feeling bloated. What also usually ensue are concerns of constipation, excess gas and generally feeling heavy.

The key to keeping bloating at bay lies in a vital element found in many fruits and powdered juice drinks in the Philippines like Chemag Pineapple and Chemag Taro: fiber. Since Valentine’s Day recently concluded and the next set of grand events aren’t slated to happen anytime soon, it might be the best time to up your fiber game.

What’s with fiber though, and how is it helpful for those suffering through an abdominal crisis? Fiber works to regulate the fluids and food in your digestive tract. This process is very vital to your gut’s health. If the pace is too slow that translates to constipation, but have it the other way around and you’ll be rushing to the toilet in no time because of diarrhea. Yikes!

For your information, there are two types of hardworking fiber that keep your abdomen at tip-top shape and on schedule. The first kind helps to add volume to your stool, allowing it to become more solid. This is called soluble fiber and it also works to slow down the pace of food traveling in your digestive system. Lastly, there is insoluble fiber. Its main purpose is to retain water which in return makes stool softer and easier to release.

Alright, today’s class session is over! Let’s get to the other details and why you’re really here. Here are 5 fruit drink recipes you can easily whip up at home for a scrumptious fiber boost.
